SonPower Ministries - Statement of Faith

There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is true God and true man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He arose from the dead, according to the Scriptures and ascended into heaven. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on High as our great High Priest and Intercessor. He shall come again in a personal, visible way to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace. This is the believer’s blessed hope and has vital bearing upon holy living and faithful service.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach and empower the believer and to convict the world of sin, of unrighteousness and of judgment.

The scriptures - both the Old and New Testaments - are the inspired Word of God, inerrant as originally given. They are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation
of people and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and practice.

Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless state, incurring both physical and spiritual death. Consequently, all are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The impenitent and unbelieving are bound for an existence in hell, the place of eternal punishment; the believer to heaven,
the place of everlasting joy and peace.

Salvation is wholly “by grace through faith,” and has been provided through Jesus Christ for all people. Those who repent of sin and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life and become the children of God.
